July’s Top Posts

Things around the house have been busy the last week… I have been making some progress on a few ongoing painting projects, one of which is finishing off the window trim touch ups on the main floor of the addition. That means that we can get our “shutters” hung. Yay! We will then have a way to control the light and heat in the living room, and I can finally take down the piece of plywood that’s been acting as our bathroom window covering for… oh 7 months.

We also pulled off the vinyl siding on the original part of the house… so far, things are pretty good. There is original cedar lap siding that was under the vinyl. One side is in amazing shape, and the other is a little rough, but definitely not too bad. The front is TBD. I am going to start filling holes and stripping any chippy paint. Matt picked up the supplies for that yesterday. {hello mask!} It was raining yesterday so I may have binge watched HGTV {beach flip and rehab addict to be precise} while folding laundry and drinking tea. I did get a drop cloth bleached for some new french chairs and changed our sheets so that has to count for something…. right?

It’s August people! That means we have about a month to finish up our exterior house projects for the season, and I know that will tick away quickly. Here are July’s Top posts! There is no doubt that the numero uno spot went to this post because of the Feature on Miss Mustard Seed. Sad to see her say goodbye to FFF- as I really enjoyed learning about all of those incredibly creative people- but I am sure she will be coming up with something just as wonderful. Are you much of a link party person? To be honest I really only ever checked out that one, as I almost find the volume of links on other sites a bit overwhelming. I also never really linked up to others because you have to like and follow and link back… and it just feels like a bit of a crazy way to get more traffic. Alas. All is well that ends well!

E smilesI am looking forward to sharing an upcoming feature on my sister’s Ranch tomorrow!!! FYI- she is funny and sweet and did I mention funny? OH! AND The chair is DONE! It is so lovely, I just need to find some time to snap a few photos for ya’ll. I probably could have done that instead of HGTV but that would have required cleaning my room too… oops. BUT I am so thrilled with how it turned out. I am also excited to say I am now a Wayfair Homemaker Featured Blogger! It will be fun to spread my writing wings a bit 🙂 Time to get to worky work!

Hope ya’ll are having a great week!
