hints of pink and blue in our cottage style bathroom
Whether it’s just another day for you, or if you celebrated like crazy- I hope you had a great love day yesterday. At the studio I work at we have a special focus on self love in the month of February- helping the kids to recognize what they love about themselves, their special gifts and characteristics- as well as a reminder that no matter what they may be facing they are worthy of love. It is a gentle reminder for me too, as I can often be hard on myself.
February has me craving the longer days, and dreaming about garden plans. This winter has been surprisingly mild, and so far we aren’t going completely crazy! Ha. We are also experiencing a bit of a thaw around these parts which feels really nice. Bundling the kids up everytime we have to leave the house is a job.
I decided to play with some flowers- though they are faux but still fun! And style them in our cottage style bathroom. Between my Glam Christmas Mantel and the Loft Family Room Makeover– it’s safe to say I am loving a little bit of pink in my life.
I was recently interviewed for an article on Wayfair about how to make the bath tub a feature in the room. It was fun to talk about my style, and some of the choices we made to maximize our cottage style family bathroom. Our bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in the house.
These peonies have me hopeful for all of the bushes I planted last year… though I know they aren’t likely to bloom for a few seasons. Oh how I can’t wait for my garden to wake up!
