Cabinet Makeover | Reveal

The cabinets are painted, the hardware is on, and that means this cabinet makeover is done!!! Kinda… I still want to add a valance along the bottom of the uppers to hide the under cabinet lighting, and crown up top- but at least the lowers are done. So, basically, kinda, sorta, done… for now ๐Ÿ˜‰

The color is “Lichen” and it is from the Penny & Co. Collection of Fusion Mineral Paint. I shared a full tutorial for painting with mineral paint here, and the process was virtually the same for these cabinets. The uppers are painted in Simply White from Benjamin Moore, as is all of our doors and trim. The walls are Grey Owl, also from Benjamin Moore, lightened by 50%.Cabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas Dance

We bought the cabinet hardware ages ago from Ikea. I chose it because I thought it worked well with the stainless, though they’ve since added a black pull that I really like and used in our kitchenette at Maker House. But, I am happy with these too. If I had it to do again, I think I would go with a matte black though.Cabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas Dance

I hung this thrifted painting using a command hook. It just makes this little coffee spot feel much more homey. Maybe we can actually keep this from being our drop zone for more than a few days!Cabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas DanceCabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas DanceCabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas Dance

Do you like our milk? always milk… haha. As I mentioned in my last post, this color really is such a great “neutral” despite being green. It’s a bit of a chameleon and works so beautifully with the marble hex tile and quartz counter.

Eliminating the espresso color of the lower cabinets feels much more harmonious to my eyes. The other wood tones work so beautifully together, and lean nice and warm. You can see what it looked like prior to painting in this post.Cabinet Makeover with Fusion Mineral Paint Lichen | via Ashlea of This Mamas Dance

This is my first time shooting with this particular wide angle lens, and it is so amazing for capturing the room. I need to go around and get some updated shots of the rest of the house! Which rooms are you most interested in? Perhaps a little summer mantel update is in order. You can find our spring mantel here.

The flower farm and Maker House have been keeping me rather busy, and with little time for blogging or projects…. but I am determined to get back to a regular posting schedule. I miss you guys, and sharing here in this space that is so special to me. Matt has had a pretty heavy travel schedule since May- but we are hoping that is now slowing down. All that to say, I hope you enjoy this cabinet makeover!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today- it means so much to me!
