Are you sick of seeing this dresser yet? Today it will have it’s final moment in the spotlight… at least until I show a full tour of Fin’s room- which will probably not be for some time! I first shared this dresser here, and then I restyled it to give it a more coastal cottage vibe here. Today I will be sharing my take on a farmhouse nod, but first let’s recap.
I brought in one of my favorite new to me accessories, which has found a permanent home in our bedroom- a dried boxwood wreath that I bought with some Christmas Money. It really pulls out the green in the minty paint.
This little plate belonged to my Grandma and always sits atop the dresser. Over the last few years I have developed an ongoing joke with my kids… when they ask me what they are getting for Christmas or Birthdays, I always say “rocks” so this Christmas I decided to make good on that and gave each of them 3 memory stones in their stockings. Matt and I sat down and chose a few phrases that reminded us of them at this time in their lives- a personality or character trait- or a descriptive phrase that personified them, we also wrote the year and their initial. I’m looking forward to carrying on this tradition each year, and I hope these stones will become treasured keepsakes for each of them throughout the years.
I’ve adored these types of wreaths for so long, and I especially like the shade of green of this one. It is real dried little leaves with sticks mixed in. I am not sure if it’s truly boxwood, but it certainly is the sweetest thing.
There you have it! The most photographed piece of furniture on my blog! Well, maybe it’s a close second with my favorite desk 😉 Just for fun I’d love to hear which look do you prefer?
