While you might not know it after my last post, I am still enjoying thrifting. Who knew it could be trendy… Coming from a family of 8, and having a pretty thrifty mamma myself, I remember hitting up second hand stores and garage sales through out my child hood. This is something we still enjoy doing when she comes to visit. Here are a few of my finds as of late! Enjoy π
You know when you spot something from across the store, and are instanly excited, but try to hide it in case someone catches on… So you make a slightly lengthy bee line to it, hoping no one notices. That is how I felt when I spotted these chairs. I was even more pumped when I saw the price tag of $3.99/piece! When I brought my prize to the till, the store clerk exclaimed “Aren’t those beautiful?! They must be from the 50’s!” I <3 that lady. These are now gracing our patio… LOVE the yellow π
I found these 3 little aprons to add to my existing 2, which I’d say now warrants the term collection. I love old things, especially in the kitchen- and these add a splash of color and charm π
I LOVE the color of these little dishes. Everytime I look at them, something inside of me smiles. Enough said!
This was a great little quilt I found at the Sally Ann. We’ve used it several times already, for picnics and such, and its such a cute cosie little blank.
These place mats were just what I had in mind for everyday use in our kitchen… simple and cute!
And that’s it for now! If you have any goodies to show, please link up in the comments! π
I love them all! Those chairs are truly fantastic. I would pretty much own all of these items myself. I do like going to find little treasures amongst the second hand chaos. I am working on a place to put them though…
I love the chairs too! And they are sooo comfortable π Space can sometimes become an issue for me… I try to cycle out things that I don’t really love…
