Sheet Music Wreath Tutorial

I had fun working on our mantle today! I was inspired by the Holiday Home Link Party happening this week and next, and decided it was time to get into the Christmas mood at our house. The mantle is decorated, with a few things to be added {like stockings} and so far I am pretty happy with how it has turned out. Especially because this is my FIRST year to have a mantle 😉 Thank you little electric fireplace. I’ll but posting our mantle decor tomorrow. You can check out my Table Decor Feature Here.

I decided to create a wreath from Sheet Music, and am so pleased with how it turned out. I have a bunch of old hymn books that I use for my journal making, so, I didn’t have to go and pick anything up. I don’t have instructions for the felt flower I used in the centre, as I had it already made up, but I will post a DIY for the flowers soon 😉

Supplies for this project include:

  • Sheet music
  • Scotch Tape
  • A masking tape ring, or wooden florist hoop
  • Hot Glue
  • Yarn
  • Felt (for centre piece)

Choose your paper

Carefully pull it out of the book. I didn’t trim mine, I just put the rough end at the bottom.

Fold in a cone shape, keeping a tight point.

Fasten using a small piece of scotch tape.

Repeat Repeat Repeat!

Secure to Ring using Hot Glue.

Finish it off with a rolled fabric flower, felt flower… or buttons would be cute as well! Something that will compliment your other decor.
