#rtvRD 2011

As many of you know, in April, Raise Their Voice was blessed to host our first event, with an emphasis on Human Trafficking and Exploitation. We have been thrilled by the success- and just blessed.

As we began to plan this event, it truly did seem to come together in a way that none of us could have planned. It was a lot of work, and some crazy nights… Not to mention 100 handmade journals. 😉 But, the tiny details really did make a difference. I know that we did things that may have been different, but, I believe they helped to define, and leave the unique Raise Their Voice mark upon that event. I hope we can continue to birth new things in the future, and am excited to see where the future takes us.

I wanted to share two videos with you. One is a highlight reel from the event- with a few quotes from some of our amazing contributors- as well as some shots of the art that made this event what it was- and the other is a song from a friend, inspired by my brother-in-law’s play She Has A Name. This song is beautiful, and really hits to the heart. Hope you enjoy it! We are planning to send She Has A Name on a North American tour in 2012- which I will keep you posted about! Big and exciting things, and another leap of faith!!

Enjoy 🙂
