La La Lockers

My husband is awesome. For more reasons then one. One of those reasons though, has to do with some sweet lockers he scored at a college sale. They aren’t vintage, or antique… but when I am finished with them they will be perfect! I plan to use them for storage in the boys room. It’s just a matter of employing some additional man strength to get them up these stairs…

I honestly can’t wait to have some additional storage in my boys room. I plan to retro fit the lockers with shelves for toy storage, books, and some additional clothes storage. They are 4 feet wide- about a foot deep and I think 6 feet tall? Here are a few lockers I have pinned for inspiration..

I’ve Created a new board titled “Industrial Farmhouse” Because I found some gorgeous kitchen/dining aplications for lockers, among other things! It’s new, but I will be adding to it in the future, so be sure to follow along if you love that style! How stunning is this?

As you can see, my ideas are a bit all over the place. I am leaning towards white, but I am not sure yet! So many beautiful ideas. My lockers look MUCH more modern… but I can’t wait to put my stamp on them.

Things have slowed down for me a bit lately. Since the birth of  my daughter I have struggled with random bouts of what I can only describe as severe heart burn. It seems to come at the worst time, and puts me out of commission for days at a time. My gut (no pun intended) tells me its something more, so I am in the process of looking for a solution. In the mean time, I am taking measures I think can help… like limiting foods that seem to trigger it, and being gentle on my stomach.

One of those measures is making and consuming bone broth, and eating more fermented foods. I am hoping to find healing for my stomach and digestive system- so that I can be rid of this for good. When I was pregnant I had extreme nausea and vomiting (at least for me… upwards of 10 times day) the only thing that allowed me to function was a very high dose of Diclectin for the majority of my pregnancy. I think those factors did a number on my system- that and having a horrible diet of crackers, bread and potatoes- because that seemed to be what stayed down!

I want to take care of this body because it’s the only one I have…

Happy Friday Friends-

Miss Ash

  1. Get your gall bladder checked. My friend had the same symptoms and took antacids for years before her pharmacist finally diagnosed her.
Can’t wait to see what you do with the lockers!

  2. I was going to say the same thing! I have gallstones (apparently a LOT of women get them after having kids) and an attack feels like horrible acid reflux. I tried a gall bladder cleanse instead of gall bladder removal and it worked for me. I’m no Dr though so just an option ;-). Your gall bladder makes bile as extra digestion help for fatty or harder to digest foods. So, those as well as other things can be triggers for an attack. Hope this is helpful!

    1. Sorry to hear… it’s not pleasant 🙁 I am so glad you’ve found the cause! That is very interesting about the Gall Stones, so I will definitely be talking to my DR about it. Thanks so much! Hoping to find relief soon.
