Deep Wells of the Soul

It’s Friday ya’ll!

I don’t know why, but that statement comes to my mind nearly every Friday. 🙂

This week has been a bit challenging. Lots of emotions, some health issues, and boys that seem determined to injure one another. It brings stress to my mama heart to have one boy crying at the hand of another. I am praying they out grow this phase soon, but our 4 {almost 5} year old has a little temper on him. He makes his frustration known with biting words, or physical punishment. He is such a darling, sweet boy, thankful and helpful… but don’t get on his bad side! I am constantly being stretched as a mom… learning how to best parent these babies of mine.

Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

Wednesday I spent some time talking about worship and dance…. creativity, and the heart of God. I love young people, especially teens… so spending some time with a group of grade 7-12’s was a gift. I am also going to be back teaching ballet the next 2 weeks…. I am missing my girls and so looking forward to seeing them and working them hard 😉

mantle2Somehow I stumbled upon these words I wrote in August, and they spoke to me again today:

“One thing I have learned, and am needing to constantly be reminded of… is that the perception of my circumstance is completely, and utterly dependant on my perspective. I can live from a place of not having, not getting, not being enough; or, I can live from a place of gratitude and generosity. The world teaches us how to build walls, but the heart calls us to hold hands.”

It is on the days I feel I have nothing to give, that God teaches me about the deep wells of the soul. To have a glimpse into how he has written me into His story brings life and joy to my Spirit.

Ask God what it is he loves about You.
