Confessions of an {honest} mom

1. Sometimes I “rotate toys” into the garbage.

2.I use indirect language such as “hmm… I am unable to say clearly at this time” when I don’t want to tell my kids the whole truth about things relating to where I am going without them, how much gum is in my purse and if it is chocolate they smell on my lips.

3. When their dad is not home we {sometimes} eat toast, cereal, yogurt or pop corn for dinner.

4. I don’t own a microwave. We keep leftovers, but most of them go rotten in the fridge.

5. I get dressed at 4pm.

6. While we owned a tooth brush for our kids, it was probably only used a handful of times during their first 2 years of life. I tried to be honest with the doctor, but she wouldn’t let me…

7. My kids went to sleep with a sippy cup of milk, and my oldest had a soother until he was 3.5.

8. My 3 year old {well, he will be in a week} still sleeps in our bed every night. And, I love it.

9. I hide recycling and any type of packaging from my craft hoarding 4 year old.

10. Sometimes I disregard the phone because my kids have phone-dar and inevitably lose their minds when I am on the phone. Sorry.

11. When my house desperately needs a clean, I somehow deem *_________________ more important. {*insert: crafting, painting, coffee, pinterest, blogging, walking, anything but cleaning}

12. On any given day I may or may not consume 2-6 cups of coffee.

13. My kids bathe once a week. {we only have a shower and they hate it}

14. I wash my face at night but I don’t remove my eye make up.

15. I have left the house without brushing the boys hair, or putting clean clothes on them.

16. When I was pregnant with my first, I decided I would look cute and fresh for my “just gave birth” pictures. I even thought I would have mascara on. bah.

17. Before I was a mom, I would have read this list and thought to myself “I will never do those things.”

These are my confessions. I may or may not be experiencing number 11.

    1. Thanks Ash 🙂 I love you too! It is really great to have like minded moms around! Especially in these wonderful and crazy early years.
