Happy Saturday friends! It’s a beautiful, sunny, snow day here in Alberta. I enjoyed a walk with my kiddos this morning, while the 3 oldest cross country skiied. Days like today remind me of all the things I love about winter! I wanted to quickly pop on here to give you a little kitchen update, and share some color samples for the peninsula.
This is just one coat of primer… so I’ll start by saying I like the white! I am also thinking about maybe going with the base cabinet color- but thought it would be fun to see about doing some kind of an accent color too.
Here are some samples of colors I already have at the house, that match some of what we have going on in the house already.
It’s just one thin coat of each color- but it’s kind of fun to imagine different colors here! As an aside- I have decided NOT to go with a colored accent tile behind the range, because I couldn’t find the one I really love. If I do ever track it down, I can always repaint the island if the colors don’t go… but I do think all of these colors would work well with the little bit of wallpaper that is visible when sitting at the island.
Any other fave paint colors I should consider?

I think I would go with the one of the ones on the left – the darker shades! The one on the far right seems too light/close in colour to the rest of the cabinets for my personal taste.

How do you like the new ikea sink? It doesn’t have the greatest reviews online, but we are interested in installing one in our kitchen reno..
Hi Jacey! So far we really like it. We have two rubber sink protectors at the bottom (I am not sure what to call them) as I know these sinks tend to scratch. But, for the price point- it is the most affordable farmhouse style sink…. I should definitely write a review once we have had it longer!
