Blogging Behind the Scenes

As a blogger, there are a lot of behind the scenes activities that go into each post. As a mom of 3, often times the biggest hurdle is just finding the time to blog! Sometimes I pick away at things a little bit at a time, working on a post at a time. Other times I spend a chunk of time photographing for a few hours… then editing, and finally writing the post! It’s definitely time consuming, but the longer I do it, the more I find my groove and a system that works within our family.

The other day while I was snapping photos of My Writing Nook I had not one, but 2 photo bombers…

This little peanut wanted to check out the changes. Boy is she BUSY! She finds everything and is on the move! She started standing up in the middle of the room last week, and this week she is taking up to 5 steps back and forth. It’s pretty stinkin cute! She had a curious accomplice who also must check out any changes in the house…Our cat Tiger made his way onto the chair, and then had to sit on the desk for a while. Cats most definitely are curious! What’s up with their love of keyboards? Mine likes to plant himself right on top of the keys?!

As fun as it is to shoot with our new camera and begin to familiarize myself with the Manual settings, I had to put the camera down for a while. {side note: Matt bought us a new camera! Squeeeee!!!}

Blogging is like most things I try to do as a mom- sometimes it just doesn’t work to go through my “list.” Whether it’s house work or DIY projects- those things are secondary to #momlife. It means I have to adapt the schedule, and try to steal a few minutes from another part of the day.

I’ll be honest, lately I’ve been gaining a few minutes by BBQing and using paper plates… and ignoring our laundry piles 😉
