On a whim I decided to put up these framed hydrangea photos from our time in New Zealand that we had hanging up in our old dining room. I’m planning on swapping them out for some pretty botanical prints with soft shades of green… I feel so drawn to greens lately. But I thought I may as well use these for now. I also love the stained shiplap so much more next to the white trim!
The shiplap is in such great shape- and while I might want to paint it one day someday, for now I am loving the warmth and texture.
I can not believe how different our entry feels since removing that doorway, opening the wall, taking our the window and exposing the shiplap that was under all of that sheet rock. It was literally like rock, and taking it down was a really dirty, messy job!!
But it was all worth it 😉
Anyone else working on reno projects, and living through construction? The mess seems to migrate around the house… and tool piles move from one spot on the floor to another- but I do feel like the end is in site! I’ve been decluttering, and washing all the little baby things. I’ve got teeny tiny diapers, and a fresh pack of soothers- though I’m hoping this baby is a thumb sucker, because it sure made sleeping easy with our last babe.
My “nesting” instinct has been in a bit of a high gear lately, but I am putting down the power tools, and telling myself to rest, hang with my babes, and maybe only pick up a hammer to hang a frame, or a paint brush 😉 I can’t wait to meet this little one, that will probably end up being an acrobat! Oh my goodness is he or she busy…
