It’s September! It’s actually the middle of September, and so that means it’s time for me to share our fall fireplace with you all. You know, of course, that our fireplace is my favorite thing to decorate. I was feeling the need to calm the house, because believe me, many areas are not calm right now as we prepare to work on some major projects! So, I decided to make this room clean and simple.
I love decorating with natural elements. The tall branches came from a maple tree out back, and I snipped a branch loaded with apples from one of our apple trees. It is a combination apple tree, which means there are different types of apples growing on one tree, so it self pollinates. However, there are some very loaded lower branches that are pulling the little tree over, so this branch needed to go anyways. Being that it is a combination apple tree, it makes it a little trickier to prune. I am not sure how the growth works, as the branches are all grafted on… I guess time will tell!
I am so looking forward to sharing the rest of this room with you tomorrow!! I hope you will come by, as I’ll be joining in for the final day of the Canadian Bloggers Fall Tour!

amazing information on the combination Apple tree, I had no idea!
I love the beauty of the apples on your fireplace, such still life yet so vividly alive … the apple tells the story of Genesis as it sits in silent… a time before time…
beautiful mizz ash ✨✨✨
I love that picture 🙂 And yes- isn’t that cool about the apple tree!
