I finally got the knobs installed on the custom blush dresser I have been working on for our daughter’s bedroom makeover! Goodness that was long overdue! I ordered some simple wood knobs from a company called Liberty Hardware. I was a little concerned about the install because they came with really chunky screws- and the knobs themselves weren’t threaded at all, they just have a pre-drilled hole.

Thankfully the screws fit through the pre-existing holes. However, I cracked the first knob upon screwing it in… oops! A little too much torque on the drill. So I switched drills and went really slow. I didn’t have the muscle to do them by hand- but you definitely don’t want to over tighten. The knobs themselves were super inexpensive- and thankfully I had extra.

They have a great profile, and I think the dresser looks pretty cute as is, but I have decided to keep to my original plan and paint them to match the rest of the dresser. There isn’t a wrong or right choice- I think the natural knobs modernize the dresser a bit and keep in line with the boho vibe- and the pink will be cute too!

I hung some baskets up for texture and warmth, and am excited to get this dresser finished off!

It’s very nearly there! I am hoping to have it finished and photographed for you asap!

I love the dresser. I have one just like it, it was my parents also now 100 years old. My question… what kind of paint did you use?
