Over the weekend I had the pleasure of co-hosting a Bridal Shower at my mom’s house, for my sister Rachel who is getting married at the end of June. My mom had all sorts of fun decorative elements to compliment the wedding’s color scheme, which is blush, gold and cream with hints of mauve. We had fun {maybe too much fun} decorating… but it was worth it! The theme was “Afternoon Tea with the Bride To Be”
I am happy to share a few photos from Rachel’s Shower- and can’t wait to celebrate the wedding of her and Ryan!
The funny story behind this chalkboard is that my mom’s friend Richie spray painted the gold frame and re-did the chalk paint because it was stained with old chalk… as soon as I went to erase a mistake I realized the chalk paint pen was not going to erase! So, I only had one go at it… but it worked out ok… it was the “A” I had wanted to fix… oops!
My mom had these old window frames, so I just taped the photos to the glass. They worked out beautifully as a display of their engagement photos. My mom purchased some greenery and stems… dahlias, mini roses, peonies and babies breath… I arranged them in vases and I had so much fun! Not to mention I just fell in love with the blooms. Aren’t they stunning? These photos don’t do them justice, I could have kissed them they were so divine!Mothers of the bride and groom to be!Of course this post wouldn’t be at least semi complete without a photo of my sister and I! Honestly there are so many photos- but I know my sisters who couldn’t be there are eager to see them all… I will be breaking this into 2 posts and sharing the rest of the photos tomorrow, including the tea and dessert table! My sister is shorter then me in real life but she has those amazing shoes on… not fair. Can you tell we are related? I don’t see it 😉
