Old School Desk {Thrifted Finds}

The last few days have been pretty slow at the Kooman house. Baby girl has been experiencing her first bought with sickness {she’s 8.5 months old} and has not been her usually happy self. I am kind of worn out to be honest, but more then anything just want my babe to be feeling better. We enjoyed a long walk today in the sunshine and fresh air, it’s +5 here! So hopefully that helps her recharge and get her little lungs clear. I’m boiling my first pot of BEEF bone broth, and hope that gives us the edge we need to get better!

I wanted to share this sweet desk that I happened upon at a local thrift shop. I have been wanting desks for the boys for a good while now, and this one was simply meant to be! I didn’t have a lot of time, but had a feeling I should check out a shop. I saw this through the window, and whipped in with Fin in tow. A kind gentleman carried it to the front for me, and before I knew it I had hauled it out to my van!

desk6I love the creamy paint, and won’t be changing a thing. There’s a hint of green showing through, with just the right amount of chippy goodness!

desk7The wood top is gorgeous and in amazing shape!! I love the little spots for holding pencils. We have already put this into action- it is the perfect sized kids desk for my lanky 6 year old 🙂 It makes school time that much more fun too! What would you pay for a desk like this? I felt it was a no brainer at $15!! I was really happy with that.

I’m enjoying sharing these little finds with you… Next week I’ll be sharing more about that apple crate. Anyone else have a bit of an obsession with old crates and boxes? (besides you Joc….) If only I could find a stash that didn’t cost an arm and a leg!

Any great finds in your neck of the woods lately? Hope you are having a great week! I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already, but at the same time this has been a looooong week.
