I love the coziness that comes with this time of year. Saturday night, we went to get our tree and today we decorated it. My husband Matt is back from his 6 week film shoot in Thailand and I don’t think I’ve been this giddy and in love since we were newlyweds. Cheesy but true! Did I ever miss him.
Things at our house are pretty simple this year. I made some big fat pom poms, and I have to say I am kind of in love. I need more yarn! They are so cute and Anthro-esque. I will try and snap a few photos this week, because I love seeing other homes decked out for the holidays. There have been some amazing Christmas Home Tours popping up the last few weeks. Speaking of which, I thought I would share a few beautifully inspiring spaces with you this evening.
I love the warm whites with the beautiful fresh greenery best. Can you tell? 😉

On another note I wanted to notify you of a few changes on the blog. I have recently updated my Home Tour, Bio and added a Blogroll of some of my favorite spots to visit for inspiration and encouragement. I am also working on organizing some of the DIY projects and would love to hear from you regarding layout and organization on my blog. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with my home page… ie. I love everything in the picture above… and am not crazy about the limitations below that space. EEK!
I like to reflect on what has and hasn’t worked in the past year {Thrifted Finds link part anyone?} and create some new goals for the blog as we drawer nearer to the start of 2016. It has been a dream to be featured on 2 of my favorite blogs this year- The Nesting Place and Miss Mustard Seed {twice! squee!} as well as on a few other really great blogs. There are so many wonderful members of this online community, and it is pretty neat to be a part of it. The flip side of that for me has been really experiencing just how big this world is. Sometimes I feel like less is more in the personal department, but I also love to be open and honest. So, I am working on finding a balance. I love sharing my heart in this space, my joys and struggles as a woman in general, and as a mom. I also love to share about our home, as that is a huge creative outlet for me. However, as a blogger I definitely don’t want to be in an exclusively “home” focused niche. I love sharing all types of things.
I guess that leaves me with a question: When you pop in to This Mamas Dance, what are you generally most eager to read or see? I know a little bit about my readers through analytics- for example I know many of you like DIY, Home, and cooking! Kind of wild… but, I really would love to hear from you.
I hope you are enjoying these days leading up to Christmas, quieting your heart and enjoying some peace.
