I did it you guys! I just sent off my first “secret” post to the inbox of all of my subscribers! Why?! How! Well… let’s chat about it.
For a long time in the space, I have felt a bit trapped. Blogging started to feel like major work, because maybe I *should* be treating it like a business, and monitizing, and working with more sponsors, and pinning, and developing SEO. And… offering valuable content to my audience, and teaching them how to do everything. And becoming an expert, and sharing my expert advice, and being in the limelight for my opinions. And having 85 beautiful photos for every post.
It just wasn’t… fun. And I am sure it showed. And I had this feeling like ” I really need to post. I need to get a post up…” yada.
And then one afternoon I decided to write a newsletter to my subscribers. Because hey, they obviously want to be here! They took the time to subscribe. And guess what?! It was FUN! It’s not gonna live forever on the internet, gaining traffic, and being a high performing post… and shared, and loved, and adored. And it just took the pressure off, and I felt like me behind the keyboard.
