At the start of every month I like to share a look back on some of the most popular posts from the previous month. This is a fun way to share with my readers any posts they may have missed, and also a glimpse into what my readers seem to gravitate towards.
June was a bit of a quieter month here on the blog in terms of posting- we finished up school, dance, and started our to do list of summer house projects. We are planning to take the majority of July and August “off” from working on major things in the house- like siding, finishing, and larger renos- so we are pushing to get some things finished now, so we can just relax for the summer.
Last night we had a family wedding, so we were all up pretty late- man do my kiddos feel it. The oldest is finally starting to be able to handle late nights a little better, but the younger two definitely make us pay for a few days after the late nights 😉 Ah, parenthood.
Without any more hoo-rah-rah… here are the most visited posts from June!

Over the weekend the room makeover we did in the boys room was featured by the ever so sweet Brooke of Nesting with Grace. I am so humbled to have it included in her column for the online magazine Everything Home, as well as over on her blog. You can see the blog feature here, and the magazine here. The boys room even got a mention on House Beautiful- truly- I would have never imagined! It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to create spaces for you and your family that speak of home and beauty- all on a budget of course 😉 Keeping them clean on the other hand is a mystery to me!
Thank you all for your encouragement, and for celebrating these little things with me. It’s kind of fun and surreal- I mean Behr Paint has MY KITCHEN on their instagram feed… THE Behr of the big ol’ orange HD. It’s always just surreal to see my photos, designs or words in print somewhere other than this little old space! Thank you to Funky Junk Interiors and Remodelaholic for featuring a few of our house projects as well! I am so inspired by the creativity that is found throughout the blogging community.
Hope you had a restful weekend- can’t believe it’s July! Happy 4th to all of my American friends,
-Miss Ash
