How to Make a Yarn Pom Pom

Yarn Pom Pom’s happen to be one of my favorite things, so today I’m sharing a quick tutorial for how to make a yarn pom pom. They’re really easy, and fun too! All you need is some chunky soft yarn and a pair of scissors. You may have caught some mini pom ornaments on my advent calendar countdown. I also like to group them in two’s and hang them places, or make a simple garland with the smaller ones. I made these using a synthetic chunky cream yarn.

For the small pom poms I wrap the yarn about 15 times, for the medium and large I do about 30. It really just depends on the size of your hands, and how full you want your yarn pom pom.How to Make a Yarn Pom Pom | via Ashlea of This Mamas Dance

I’ll let you in on a little secret… I’ve started making faux fur pom poms inspired by Anthropologie’s pom pom garland- and they’re cute! Keep your eyes peeled for that tutorial. I love quick little crafts like this. How about you?
