Hey sweet friends, I am popping in this morning to let you know that the full tutorial for our new wood range hood is now available over at Remodelaholic. I am a guest contributor there, so you can catch the cut list, measurements and insert details if you are interested!
I looked at a bunch of different wood range hoods before finalizing the design for ours. I love that it’s an updated version of “rustic” with it’s clean and simple design. We also made it with a removable access panel, and very simple framing. Some of the DIY hoods seem really over complicated to me with a ton of stick framing and odd angles. This one is very, very easy to follow! At least I like to think so.
A few weeks after we built our range hood cover I saw this beauty on Better Homes and Garden’s Instagram:
I’m feeling inspired by the warm neutral wood- but I still have to finalize my plans for staining and sealing ours.
I’m continuing to putter away on our entry makeover, as well as wrapping up my paint touch ups… and lets be honest, trying to purge all the things! Happy Fall. What are you up to this weekend?
