Soaking up the last warm days, the vibrant summer colors of zinnias, and the warmth of the sunshine. It’s officially fall, and while it’s usually a blustery, short lived season in Alberta, it’s been a relatively sweet transition. But we have snow in the forecast for Friday, so I guess we will see what type of fall it will be.
After a lot of rain and grey skies, I guess I’m craving some color… I grabbed this shower curtain at Home Sense, and it feels fresh and cheery.
I have been on the hunt for a floral shower curtain for quite some time, and I haven’t been able to find quite the right thing. So, this will do for now, and probably for the next long while. I am enjoying the pop of color in here- it’s nice and cheery.
The garden is still kicking. After creating artfully arranged, balanced bouquets all summer, this is far from that. I just cut some zinnias, cosmos and dahlias and couldn’t get over their stunning colors. Almost too incredible to take in. I didn’t have a lot of time, so I stuck them in this small ironstone pitcher… and enjoyed them so very much. Crazy cosmo and all.
We’re back to school the last week or so, slowly finding our rhythm and getting over sickness that we can’t quite kick. Trying to be outside, but also just be, and rest as we need it.
Happy Fall Ya’ll,
-Miss Ash
