Good Morning sweet friends. I wanted to share this Advent Calendar Countdown that I made. One thing I like about blogging is that it helps me to get creative, and meet deadlines! I wrote a tutorial, and filmed a video- when I was very prego may I add- for Remodelaholic. The great news is, we have this countdown ready well in advance of December! You can catch the full tutorial here.
I especially love the little wood discs, and could see creating a smaller version of this; it would be useful for all types of things… keys, jewelry… what do you think?
By far the funnest part (most fun? is funnest even a word?) was making all of the little ornaments. There are 5 different ornaments, so even if you don’t think you need a countdown- pop on over for some crafty fun! I am all about the pom poms, and I love how the mini wreaths and pinecones turned out.
You can find all of the details for the countdown in this post. Many thanks to Remodelaholic for having me! I am always humbled to be a part of their contributor team. I would love to hear your feedback- do you prefer construction/home projects, home decor/design, or crafty/ make stuff projects- when it comes to tutorials?

Today is the sweetest kind of Saturday. Hearing Matt in the family room with our two littlest has to be one of the cutest things. Our little guy is just over 2 weeks old, and life is starting to feel more familiar. His around the clock nursing is starting to space out, and he is sleeping longer stretches little by little. The main question on my mind is whether or not I put him in a Santa Suit for Christmas?! I remember a picture of me on my first Christmas, in a little Santa Suit. I was born November 9 (I just turned 32! How is that possible?) and Theodore was born November 7, so maybe I should just go for it 😉
Thanks so much for popping by this morning, for your sweet encouragement and enthusiasm. I so appreciate this little corner of the world! Blessings to all of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend (I am in Canada, so we celebrated back in October) I am thankful for you!
