Things moved along beautifully with our Maker House Studio Renovation… but our web series? Well- would you believe that we have the footage, and several episodes edited and ready for me to review, but unfortunately since I got pregnant and life got kind of crazy we have just been horrible about getting them uploaded to Youtube! So they are still to come- and I can’t wait to share them with you. However in the mean time I thought I would give you a quick photo update of some of the spaces and how it has come together.

In summary Matt and I started renovating a 3,000 sf space in January to be used as a community Maker Studio, Office Space, and all around hub for creativity. We offer hands on workshops, and monthly memberships for makers, creators and entrepreneurs who need some space to spread their wings. You can visit our website here if you are curious about it.
Anyhoo- the space has changed a TON since we started! So here are a few photos of where we are now. We soft opened a few months ago, and Matt has been working from here almost on the daily. I work from there few times a week, and it is such an inspiring, beautiful space to be in! It is definitely more modern than anything you will find in our house. I really enjoyed playing with a different style.
This is our front desk and it was a bit of a project fail to start. Lol. Note to self, liquid nails doesn’t always work! So many of those disks fell off- and I was questioning whether to keep going with it, but in the end I am really happy with how it came together. Thank you gorilla glue. Every once in a while I find a disc that I missed getting with the gorilla glue… #classy
To the right of the desk we have a spot to just sit and chill… or enjoy a coffee.
A friend welded that coffee table base, and I still can’t decided if I want to keep it as is, or go with a matte black frame. So for now it sits and I ponder. The sofa and chair are modern- and remind of the Jetsons. I found them at the Brick of all places. They are comfortable and compact, which is just what we needed.
The Loft- aka the workshop space- is probably my favorite. I love how bright it is. We built the workshop tables using plans from Ana-White. They are awesome.
We also added this small office/ call room for any of our members that might need some privacy. I love the cedar wall, and the mix of modern with a touch of boho.I loooove the birch table Matt made for the board room. Honestly the fluorescent lighting does not do it justice because it is beautiful!
I still have some decorating touches to add, but it is furnished and functioning and getting used. Now to fill it with a few more bodies!
I have had horrible computer luck lately… you might remember that my computer crashed last Spring- and I then replaced it. Well- my brand new computer just smoked and fried! And my phone is having issues and won’t update- and the reception has gone from bad to horrible. Oh technology…
Once I have my computer up and running- I am so looking forward to sharing some of the progress on the mudroom/entry/hallway. In the mean time you can catch updates on my instagram.
