Pistachio Delight Dresser Restyled

I really enjoy snapping photos, and I have a lot of fun styling furniture makeovers. I wish I had more time to tackle more pieces, and can’t wait for spring and the resurgence of the outdoor workshop. I recently shared this dresser  that I re-finished for my daughter’s room using Country Chic Chalk paint. This is more true to how it looks on a regular basis- plus a baby monitor and noise machine.

I thought it would be fun to give it less of a little girl look, and share both a more coastal cottage vibe, as well as something that leans toward the ever popular farmhouse style.

I picked up the sweet  little globe on a recent shopping trip to Home Sense, which is the Canadian equivalent to TJ Max or Marshalls. If only we could get a Hobby Lobby! The glass knobs came from Canadian Tire.

It’s amazing how different the piece feels. Suddenly its less little girl and more grown up. The Pistachio color speaks of sea glass and sunbeams when paired with my favorite sun hat. My assistant also took a liking to the hat as well… girl after her mama’s heart.

Those little lips!

This post is getting a little long and photo heavy, so I guess I’ll be back tomorrow with the farmhouse look 😉 I’m looking forward to a trip to do some antique shopping, so here’s to hoping I return with a few treasures, and that Matt and I actually have fun shopping with our 3 kiddos. It can be pretty hit and miss with a toddler. I mentioned the possibility of an IKEA stop but that isn’t looking to promising. A girl can dream.
