Link Party Countdown, Lockers and a Playset

It’s 2 weeks until our first official link party! Be there or be square!! Come and link up! I’m so excited to see this grow, because not only do I love the thrill of finding great treasures, but I love seeing what other’s have found and brought into their home! It’s a {Thrifted Finds} Link up- so get all of your treasures ready. You don’t have to have a blog either- you can link up instagram or facebook photos as well! This will be happening the third Thursday of each month, so spread the word if there is someone that comes to mind.

If you follow me on instagram or facebook , you’ll know I spent the morning prepping and painting lockers for the boys room. I went with… white!

I can’t wait to get them set up and put some things away! I would like to retrofit them with shelves, and am trying to think of the best method to do that. I will be sharing a full post on the process soon- and hopefully we can get them upstairs… yep. I’m still dreading that.

You know when your house is really clean, and you just feel so on top of things? And then a bomb goes off somehow, and it’s like, everything is a mess again? That’s kind of where I am at. I spent the day getting all of our laundry done- and I’ve realized that the week is nearly done, and things have fallen behind. I have been trying to finish staining our deck for the last 4 days, but it keeps raining. Alas… I think things are supposed dry up tomorrow and the sunshine will hopefully stick around for a few days!

Our kids all have birthdays in the span of a few weeks… so next week my kids will officially be 7, 5 and 1!! Where does that time go?? I don’t know how that happens. We are building a swing set for the little kidlets, and I can’t wait to have it up and ready to go! I am already trying to decide how to stain it… It feels so exciting to be able to do this for our kids- my mom got a little baby swing for our youngest- so even she will be able to get in on the fun.

We have been trying to decide what to put around/under it… We had to level and raise our land a bit, so it’s kind of crummy dirt at the moment. We have more or less decided sand… originally thought pea gravel, but now I am going back to mulch… but no, sand is the softest with bare feet, and my boys love to dig and play with trucks.

What would you do? Any experience you can share on the subject?

I hope you all have had a wonderful week! I hope to be back into a nice blogging rhythm soon, but I am not going to lie that we have just had a ton of family/extended family things happening the last few weeks. So, here we are 🙂
