Home Categories and Making things Easier to Find

Slowly but surely I am re-locating a few posts from our build to dedicated categories, so I thought I would mention it to you. You can find everything about our original 1940’s cottage, and our 1100sf DIY addition under “The Cottage” category. Framing, landscaping, Fin’s room, and all of the progress can be found there. For main rooms in our house, with several posts about their progress, I have created a category so everything about that space is in one place! Any future posts about those rooms will be there too. 🙂 Call it spring cleaning on the blog…

This was a good reminder to me of all the progress we have made on our build, and how much fun it has been along the way. While we still have little things to finish inside, it’s really nice to remember how much we’ve accomplished. Renovating a home is an ongoing process, and sometimes it feels like you aren’t getting much done- as you just go from one project to the next. Having this online “scrapbook” of our home build is pretty special. I am trying to focus on finishing one space at a time, vs. one job- ie. filling and painting the trim in a room, vs. filling and painting all the the trim in the house! I wish I could just finish it all at once, but with little ones afoot that is tricky to do- so I have to break it into bite size pieces.

I hope you find a little inspiration in these pages, I truly believe that you can create spaces you love on any budget. Big changes or small ones- personalizing your home can be fun, functional, and beautiful.
