Changing Seasons

Recently we did a tripod self timer photo session with all of Matt’s Family. 2 of his brothers {and their wives} live on opposite sides of the country, so this was a rare moment of having all of us together. You really only need one good photo, and thankfully we more or less got it 🙂 We also grabbed a few individuals of each micro family. Our kids were cold, and our baby wasn’t super happy to not be free to roam- but we were able to get a couple keepers.

My heart swells to see how much our kids are growing up. Yet, at the same time, our girl looks so tiny and small- and G is at the sweetest little boy stage. E is growing so much, and makes me so proud with his big and helpful heart. While I love candid day to day shots- we have very few shots of the 5 of us in one frame. So these are dear to me.Family Photos 2015-1Family Photos 2015-5

My little peanut more or less wants to be held by mama. I’ll savor it, and remember this season. Since down sizing, then living in construction for so long we have had no photos up… I bought some new frames, and am going to print off some of my favorites from over the years- as well as a few of these. Eventually I will get around to making a photo gallery wall up our stairs… I just need to finish painting it. ha!

I am thankful for the rustling leaves, and the reminder of God’s breath in our lives. The vibrant colors to sear our memory of all that is alive and beautiful before we enter the cool season of winter. The changing of the trees each year reminds me of the changes of the heart. New growth, and tiny buds. Sweet blossoms and fresh fruit. Reaching the fullness of beauty, and vibrancy then settling into Grace and Hope, to trust in the awakening that will come after the quiet, often unpredictable season of winter.

Blessings and Warm Socks
