The $10 Kitchen Scale {Thrifted Finds}

I am always on the look out for a lovely vintage kitchen scale. I don’t know what it is about them, but it is an item I have long wanted for our home. The trouble is, I have never found a kitchen scale under $70… and even then, I haven’t really loved the colors that I have found. It seems like a silly thing to spend so much money on. So, you can imagine my delight when I found a scale for $10. Sure, it’s not overly vintage, and was covered in grease… but it was darling, and in my price range! The $10 Kitchen Scale | This Mamas Dance-4

The face and base were covered in a thick layer of grease…

I used a past of baking soda and water to scrub it clean…The $10 Kitchen Scale | This Mamas Dance-2

You can see that it cleaned up really well… but it’s a little too shiny for my liking 😉

    1. I’ll be sharing details soon Maryjo. The milk paint adhered to the scale, but not at all to the pan, so I need to get a little creative with how I finish things 😉
